"Women Street Photographers"
I’m inviting you into the world of women street photographers. Together we will discover those who have a meaning in the history of photography but also talented contemporary photographers with great portfolio and evolution in the field of photography. We will find out what makes these women good photographers by trying to explain why their photos became so well known. Is it their geometry? Juxtaposition? Encryption? Chromatic choice? Their flair for choosing interesting models? Frame composition? Is it any logical reason at all?
We will go through strong images, capable to excite and stay alive over time. We will discuss about photographers who have felt the photography in a unique and sensible way, being united by the same strength and love, by the same exterior and interior searches, discovering and rediscovering through each frame, themselves and their surroundings.
Hello! My name is Iris (https://visual-iris.com/), I live in Bucharest, Romania and although I have a PhD in Biology I feel that photography is my great love. I felt in love with photography in 2013 and graduated from “Francisc Mraz” Photography School in 2014 and in 2015 I became a full member of BULB Collective (Bucharest Urban League of Photographers for the Balkans). I participated in various national and international photography exhibitions and photography workshops. In 2017 I published my first photobook called “Antarctica. A place beyond time”.
I consider photography a joy of knowledge and self-knowledge that speaks more of the inside world of a photographer then that from the outside, unveiling his deepest beliefs. A photograph should have the power to surprise and touch our hearts.
